Sutton Community Centre (Rockin) 29th March 2025

Our second outing this year was to a new venue near Nottingham to both the BFA and Rockin to replace the equestrian centre at Newark. About a 2hr 15 minute trip for us so another early start as we had our lights again. Again we were even shorter on members at this one than we were at Coventry with Jemma and Ash in America, Gemma and Martin not available and Beth PW not available. That left Julia, Tina, Teen, Dean, Claire and Beth T(newbie).

Dogs were even shorter this time with only Jessie, Stan, Zarah and Charly in Ninja Warriors and Lottie and Eddie in Wash Wally(not competing). This time however we had Jovi working in ring time.

Tina and Julia picked up Beth (nice and early at 5am) and the journey was smooth. The lights went up easily again (we're getting good at this!!) and Tina completed the paperwork ready for ring party duty on the first division. Beth joined in with Teen on scribe and by the end of the day was completing the paperwork like a pro.

Lottie and Eddie were in next. Lottie ran all day 1st dog and with the pole assisting her never dropped her turn. She ran her pb today clocking a 3.79 sec and a 3.97 sec too. Eddie ran 2nd and clocked 2x 4.00 sec times today as well as loads of 4.0? times. He wasn't as comfortable today as the run back area was short and congested but he coped really well for an ocd dog!

Ninja Warriors were in div 5 with Stan being run by Dean and Charly by Beth. Jessie was on starts and my god did she love it. Tina's starts were a bit hit and miss but by the end of the day she had put in some good ones. Jessie was on fire and ran her pb with a 4.35sec and never exceeding 4.49 all day, averaging 4.42sec. Stan and Zarah had a great day loving being in the same team again and Charly as usual brought up the rear averaging 6.32 thoughout the day which for and 11 1/2 year old ain't half bad!! The team came 4th today with a time of 21.03sec. Yet again Beth did a grand job and we couldn't have managed without her.

Jovi had 2 sessions of ring time through the day working on runbacks with a full competition going on really close by. He did really well concentrating on Dean and not taking a lot of notice of what was going on when in the far lane. The second session we put him in the closer lane to the racing and although he took more notice this time he still did really well.

A final shout goes to both Zarah and Jessie today . Zarah gained her 10,000 Silver award and Jessie her 5,000 Advanced award. Well done to both dogs.
